What is Vaser Liposuction?
Vaser Liposuction is the latest and most advanced form of liposuction. Through the use of ultrasound technology, Vaser Liposuction liquefies the fat before it is removed. This liquefied fat is much easier to remove which means minimal recovery time and much smoother results when compared to traditional liposuction.
How Does Vaser Liposuction Work?
Cosmos Clinic was the first in NSW to acquire the new Vaser Liposuction technology, and has performed over 5,000 liposuction procedures over the last 4 years. The Vaser Liposuction technology uses ultrasound technology to liquefy fat before removing it through a cannula. This is much gentler and more advanced than traditional liposuction, which means better body sculpting results.
The ultrasound technology that the Vaser technique uses also has another major benefit. Your skin is tightened as the fat is removed. As the Vaser removes the fat, the skin shrinks around the area which now has no fat. Resulting in less saggy skin, and much smoother results.
What Happens In A Vaser Liposuction Procedure?
On the night before your procedure you will be given some relaxation medicine to take, to ensure you have a good rest ready for the next day. When you arrive at the clinic you will be given some further relaxation medication so you are not nervous about your procedure.
When you are ready for your procedure you will be given some twilight sedation, you will not need general anaesthetic. Once sedated your surgeon will make small incisions and inject numbing solutions throughout the area to be treated. These incisions are made in discrete places such as the belly button or in places which will be covered with underwear. The incisions are only millimetres long and will hardly be noticeable. After this the Vaser probe is passed under the skin to dissolve the fatty layer, the fat is then suctioned out.
When your procedure is finished you will be fitted with a compression garment which will help support the areas that have been treated. You will then rest in the recovery rooms of our clinic, under the watch of your surgeon and the nurses. When you feel you are ready, you will be assessed and discharged, which will be on the same day.
How Much Does Vaser Liposuction Cost?
Vaser Liposuction starts from $3,300, depending on your expectations and desired results, prices may vary. This includes all theatre costs, anaesthetic costs, follow-up massages and appointments. Your initial consultation will cost between $150- $220.
