Brazilian Butt Lift

A Brazilian Butt Lift (also known as a Buttock Augmentation) is a cosmetic surgery procedure characterised by the injecting of purified fat into the buttock cheeks. This procedure involves suctioning fat from various areas of the body (via Vaser Liposuction), purifying the grafted fat cells, and skilfully re-injecting them back into the bottom to create fullness, shape and projection. A Brazilian Butt Lift can augment a flat, shapeless bottom and can correct asymmetry in one’s behind.

This procedure is commonly performed on the female population, however more and more gentleman are electing to have this surgery. For men, this surgical procedure is referred to as a Male Buttock Enhancement (or ‘Bro’zilian Butt Lift).

What Happens During A Brazilian Butt Lift?

When performing a Brazilian Butt Lift, the cosmetic surgery can be broken up simply into 3 stages. The first stage is the grafting of fat via Vaser Liposuction, the second stage involves purifying the fat, and the third stage is the process of re-injecting fat into the buttock cheeks.

During the first stage of a Brazilian Butt Lift, fat is suctioned out of the body via Vaser Liposuction. Here, areas such as the abdomen, back and flanks can be treated. This first step involves the process of infiltrating the area with a numbing solution. Followed by the use of the Vaser probe. This fine instrument utilises ultrasound energy to ‘melt’ fat in the treatment areas. During this process, the fat is broken down into a liquid-like consistency and noticeable heat is produced. This heat not only breaks up the masses of fat, but it also stimulates collagen within the skin to create skin retraction. Once the fat is ‘melt’, it can then be easily suctioned out of the body.

The second stage of a Brazilian Butt Lift is where the grafted fat in purified. During this step, the suctioned fat cells are mixed with an antibiotic solution that cleanses and disinfects the fat. After some time, the clean fat floats to the top of the solution and it is then drawn into syringes.

Once the fat has been purified, it is then re-injected into the buttock. This is the third and final stage of a Brazilian Butt Lift. Here, fat is inserted into the bottom to create volume and shape. The cells are injected underneath the skin, as well as into the buttock muscles. This ensure the life and longevity of the grafts. For female patients, the fat is placed into the upper two-thirds of the bottom to create a feminine S-shaped behind; and for male patients, the fat is put into the muscle to create a firm, ‘bubble butt’.

The Benefits of Brazilian Butt Lift

The advantage of this method is that it allows you to get rid of excess weight in problem areas. Many people choose the Butt Lift technology because of the lack of the need to place implants, as they have their own life time and do not always provide a natural effect.

The Result of Brazilian Butt Lift

The result will preserve for many years since muscle tissue accepts adipose tissue well. Based on experience, the final result is visible after about three months.

How long will it take to recover from Brazilian Butt Lift?

For several days it is necessary to avoid exposure to solar radiation, not to visit a solarium, to exclude peelings and not to use a hard washcloth. The rehabilitation period after the Brazilian Butt Lift is six weeks, during which the patient should wear special clothing.

How much does a Brazilian Butt Lift cost?

A Brazilian Butt Lift starts from $7,000, depending on your expectations and desired results. This price will vary according to the number of areas you have suctioned during the Vaser Liposuction stage. This price includes all theatre costs, anaesthetic costs, follow up massages and appointments.
